FPA NexGen Gathering is hosting a phenomenal virtual event where you will be armed with skills, lasting connections and practical tools.
NexGen Gathering is an amazing conference for professionals getting ready to enter the profession and in their first eight years of their career.
If we have learned anything during this last year its how to keep connections thriving and growing in a virtual experience. The NexGen community’s No. 1 goal is to constantly be building new & lasting connections for its members. Even though we love our in-person conference settings its important as professionals to continue to thrive in self education, developing our professional skills, and making meaningful connections.
If you’re in the first decade of your professional journey NexGen Gathering is the right conference for you. Here’s why:
1) Join/start a study group. NexGen Gathering is the best place to meet young & innovative professionals all around the world. Since you’ll be meeting new people, it’s the perfect place to participate in the conversation of starting a study group. The best way to really make this conference worth wild is to have a group of colleagues you can connect with a week after the conference to discuss and digest all the content received from this two-day journey. Finding your tribe at this conference is so important to the success of your career.
2) Dynamic speakers. The phenomenal speakers set to present on this virtual stage are meant to challenge, empower, and leave you with more than just a fancy quote. If you want to have a better understanding of what Socially Responsible Investing (SRI) is and know how activism is playing a huge role in the bridge between financial markets & social movements, you don’t want to miss hearing from Rachel J. Robasciotti.
Financial therapists have been playing a gigantic role over the last year and Nathan Astle is going to share with attendees how to apply skills including empathy, validation, reflective listening, circular questioning and motivation interviewing techniques so you can enhance your communication skillset.
Finally, thought-provoking leader, Tyrone Ross is going to leave you understanding how much change you can impact by implementing the 3 E’s: Exposure. Education. Empowerment. I share all this to give you a small glimpse of the speakers’ content but also let you know that the NexGen Gathering committee is still adding more speakers to this 2-day virtual experience.
3) Learn to become a leader. This year NexGen Gathering is focusing on “Change” and “Becoming the Change”. Conference attendees are meant to shape the future of our profession and our communities. Signing up to be a leader is hard work but during this 2-day virtual experience everyone will get to tap into their inner leader and learn new skills to foster change in areas where they are most passionate about.
FPA NexGen Gathering isn’t just for its NexGen members its for everyone ready to make that next step in their professional journey through financial planning. This 2-day experience will cost a low conference fee of $125 to attend. Check out the FPA NexGen Gathering website to see scholarship opportunities for attending this year event.
“I am so excited to hear from the top industry speakers, leaders and subject matter experts in a small group setting! It is so rare to get the opportunity to have a dialogue with these amazing speakers and I believe this will spark creativity and lots of new friendships.” Soraya Morris, NexGen Gathering Conference committee member, Lead Trainer at Envestnet Moneyguide
