National Retirement Planning Week Wraps Up
The annual week-long effort to urge Americans to save for their retirement has concluded. Insurance and the financial services industry alike have applauded efforts that encourage workers to save appropriately for their retirement.
The National Conference of Insurance President and Louisiana Senator Dan Morrish said the awareness raised by the campaign is important to the lives of American workers.
“As someone who is closer to retirement than the beginning of my career, I recognize that sound retirement planning contributes significantly to the quality of life for Americans,” said Morrish.
This year’s efforts focused on legislation being considered to strengthen retirement planning across the country, including the rise in state-run retirement plans such as auto-IRAs and President Trump’s Executive Order on Strengthening Retirement Security in America.
