SAN FRANCISCO (MarketWatch) — American International Group Inc. (AIG) said late Thursday that Chief Executive Officer Steven Udvar-Hazy of International Lease Finance Corp. will retire, effective this Friday. President John Plueger has been named acting CEO. The company is also looking into raising funds via asset sales and issuing debt backed by other assets. “We anticipate selling some ILFC assets in the future, and we continue to review other options, including accessing the capital markets through secured debt financing,” said Robert Benmosche, AIG’s president and CEO. © 1997-2008 MarketWatch.com, Inc.
