Local Financial Planning Executive Tapped For Nationwide Post

Nov. 19–Veteran Orlando financial planner Paul Auslander has been named president-elect of the Financial Planning Association, which represents financial advisors nationwide, the group said this week.

Auslander, the chief executive offficer of Orlando-based American Financial Advisors, will take office in the organization’s 2012 term.

He has been a member of the national organization sicne 1996 and held several leadership positions, including president of the group’s Central Florida chapter and board member of the Financial Planning Association of Florida.

Auslander is also currently a member of Florida’sFinancial Literacy Council, an advisory group for the state Department of Financial Services. It focuses on programs and initiatives aimed at improving finanical literacy for the general public, especially young people, seniors and the small business community.
