Here we go again. Banker Stephen Calk gave Trump’s buddy, Paul Manafort, $16 million in unfounded loans from a bank that soon went under. He is now a felon for which his lawyers argue for a noncustodial sentence. Calk, he of a thoroughly decent and law-abiding life, he of good deeds and sterling character, according to his lawyers. Seriously? Prosecutors want at least four years in prison. Based on the amount of money involved, Jessie and Sandy Jackson really got treated unfairly for stealing a measly $450.000.

Responding to Don and Sue. Your view of abortion is your own, not your right. The Bible has many instances and notices that are specifically dealt with, abortion is not among those specifically dealt with.

To David from Tinley Park. I love your suggestion that women contact a crisis pregnancy center and keep an open mind rather than have an abortion. I have one question, how many hard to place children have you adopted? I’m guessing the answer is zero. Why is it people like to say Democrat instead of Democratic Party? Why is it that mostly it seems to be men who are so anti-choice. I guess if women were in charge we should say any man who gets a woman pregnant against her will should have a vasectomy. Why not? Why should they have a choice and have their lives go on when they’re dictating to woman what they should do with their bodies and their lives.

They’re talking on the news about the virus and the tests. When they were first available, these scammers bought a bunch of them at one time and they go to different corners offering them for sale, jacking up the price. They’re not fooling anybody. We need police to stop people and ask for their peddler’s license to stop the black market and gauging. Just take them to jail.
