This is how you can deduct before the SAT with your Infonavit tax return.

Taxpayers have different ways to deduct taxes before the Tax Administration Service (SAT), one of these ways is that the beneficiaries who contribute before the National Workers’ Housing Fund Institute (Infonavit), who can use the interest deduction of their mortgage loans to reduce their tax payments.

The Institute pointed out that in order to make this deduction effective for Infonavit creditors, they must obtain a Constancia de Interés (Interest Certificate), which can be processed by directly accessing the Infonavit’s portal account.

In this sense, Infonavit pointed out that those who have acquired a home through a credit through the institute, and want to take advantage of the benefit, must enter micuenta.infonavit.org.mx, and select the tab of My Credit and select the option of Constancia de Intereses (proof of interest).

The beneficiaries must indicate the fiscal year of consultation and press the Consult button to obtain the certificate and print it.

Likewise, the Institute added that those persons or rightful beneficiaries who do not have an Infonavit account yet, will have to activate Quiero mi cuenta and then enter their data.

In case the person interested in completing the process does not have his or her NSS, he or she can obtain it at the following link: https://serviciosdigitales.imss.gob.mx/gestionAsegurados-web-externo/asignacionNSS. After entering the CURP, you will have to follow this procedure:

• Go to your email inbox and check if you received a confirmation link in your email.
• Once you have received the email, click on the link with the legend “Solicitud de Asignación o Localización de NSS” and it will automatically take you to the official IMSS website, where your NSS will appear.
