NORTHUMBERLAND, Pa. – Apr. 7, 2016 – Keystone Insurers Group, the second largest privately held insurance partnership in the nation, today announced its geographic footprint will spread into Michigan during the third quarter of the year. The Wolverine State brings Keystone’s franchise operations to its 11th state.
“Evaluating expansion into Michigan was an extensive process, but a logical decision,” said Elizabeth Schenk, vice president of sales and marketing. “Michigan offers a unique and compelling opportunity for both the independent agent and Keystone. The agencies exude a renaissance in entrepreneurial leadership. Those first agencies to partner with us become our pioneers and work with us in populating the state. We’re excited to get to work and help grow the success stories in Michigan.”
Keystone’s mantra is independence works better together. Franchise partners remain independent and retain their names, but by connecting with a community of like-minded independent agencies they gain powerful support, enriched services and industry expertise that they may not be able to employ on their own. The Keystone partnership positions independent agencies to compete with large brokers, enhance their local service offering and continually develop their agency operations.
